How it started

More than ever, local charities need our support, and we wanted to help. So the initial idea for HIGH-FIVE was to give back to our local community and favourite charities. But then we thought, why not support the local communities and charities where our business partners live? And why not let them choose their favourite charities to help? So we did, and this works great in two ways.

One, it can support local communities and charities, and we think that’s wonderful!

Two, it can help our not-so-local partners feel good about working with us. Because of the ever-growing “think local first” movement choosing to work with Ello can be a great idea, thanks to HIGH-FIVE! We want to support your local community, even though we mightn’t be “local.” But with HIGH-FIVE, it’s like we’re locals everywhere; well, at least we think so! HIGH-FIVE to HIGH-FIVE!

How it works

For every dollar you spend at Ello, we’ll donate 10% of our profit to the charity of your choice! It can be any charity, local or national, as long as it’s Canadian and registered.

If this happens, Ello will choose one of their favourite charities and donate 10% on your behalf.

During the first quarter, we tally up how much each business partner has spent over the past year and donate 10% of our profit to their favourite charity.
